You pay for what you get. The meat quality is super good based on the price you pay.
Got the pork belly. Best one to get. They cook for you and they cut it for you. Everything. After you're done eating they make a kimchi fried rice for you and it's super good. It's more than enough food because you always eat rice after anyways.
Depending how big your party is and how big of a eater each individual is, I would say 2 orders with 3 people is enough food, but it's different for everyone. Just wished that it wasn't so expensive, but if it wasn't so expensive then the quality of the meat wouldn't be as good. -

We came here for a Birthday dinner celebration and also to try a different place for KBBQ that's not an AYCE place.
First negative in my opinion is the ban Chan is very limited. The only ban Chan they serve is kimchi, Korean Pancake, green onions, and tons of bean sprouts. All of which I don't really care for.
Second negative was the service. As a KBBQ, we're used to cooking ourselves but here they cook for you or I assume they start it for you because if we didn't attend to it, the meat would be burnt.
There are positives like the quality of the meats were definitely of high grade meats. The ribeye was very tender. Because it wasn't an AYCE you had to be cautious on how much you ordered unless you have deep pockets. The kimchi fried rice at the end was a very tasty end to the meal. A very good business tactic to serve you the rice at the end so you don't get full right away.
It was a nice visit and not that I was unhappy because we were satisfied, I'm just not sure a return visit is in the future. -

I used to come to this restaurant and enjoyed foods.
I came to this restaurant in almost 4 years and I was really disappointed.
First of all, when we came it was empty, maybe 4-5 tables were occupied, the server seated us the table right next to the table which 4 women sat and they were so noisy.
We ordered the food and the server brought the food and the server found out that grill was not turned on. He tried to turn on but the nob was broken....
The food was okay, but the servers were very unfriendly. We had to ask several times to bring something but they kept checking the table next to us without being asked.
I compared the other Honey Pig in Irvine and they are prompt and friendly.
All the servers should be trained how to serve the table first. -

Why is KBBQ so fire? I really do not know. I came here for dinner and ordered pork belly for four when we came with a party of 6. They provided really big portions & all of it was very flavorful and delicious. On the grill they put kimchi and bean sprouts which they cook altogether with rice to make fried rice at the end of your meal. The waiters are super attentive and cook the meat for you. It's fire if you put the pork belly in rice paper with soybean paste, kimchi, and the bean sprouts.

From the moment I walked in there was disaster everywhere . There were plenty of seats available in the restaurant, yet there were also crowds on people waiting in the small lobby and outside of the restaurant for a table. There DEFINITELY was not enough servers that day as the ones that WERE available were running from one side to another - hopelessly scrambling.
It was loud, dirty (I mean, REALLY disgusting), and most of all, disorganized. One guy broke several beer glasses while carrying them to a table while another dropped salad all over the floor. Yikes.
We waited in the lobby for about 20 minutes before we were sat in a booth in the back. They already had the cast iron heated with piles of bean sprouts, kimchi, and potato pancake (which we began munching on). Someone then came to take our drinks/orders which we placed immediately. Food came out soon after (I mean, it's just raw meat that we cook ourselves so I'd be shocked if it didn't); however, our drinks and Pa Muchim (scallion salad) never did until we had to flag someone down.
Note: they don't have traditional side dishes here so it's just kimchi and bean sprouts for ya.
Honey Pig (given their name) is known for their Pork Belly, so we did just that. We got two orders of the Black Pig Pork Belly, which was highly recommended, and one order of the Thin Beef Slice. Didn't try beef, but I'm pretty sure it's like every other KBBQ places since it's such a common option. The Black Pork Belly, however, was pretty amazing. They sprinkled black pepper on it which enhanced the flavor even more. It was juicy, crispy, and really great all around (even better with either Samjang or sesame oil/salt).
When we got close to the end, they brought out rice and made us fried rice with all the left over meats, kimchi, and bean sprouts. A little bland in my opinion, but nothing some Gochujang couldn't fix.
Total came out to about $80. No beers/soju. No extra sides. Just the 3 orders of meat.
TO WAKO HONEY PIG: You guys need a major spring cleaning done. Have your workers do a run down. Hire a cleaning service. Do SOMETHING. I mean, look at the amount of dust accumulated! It's even next to a table, for heaven's sake. If the lobby is that dirty, how clean is your kitchen?
